Some of the many nice letters we have received:

Dear Tom,

Your cd of animated math is working beautifully.

There is a 3rd grader at our school who is severely learning disabled and is heavily medicated for seizures.

Although she is not in my homeroom, she keeps coming to use the computers in my room after school. She was working below 1st grade level. Thanks to your programs she tested higher than ever since she enrolled in our school. Her self-confidence is way up and her math skills are at 1st grade level. She tested out of the bilingual program to be transitioned to English.

She continues to come after school to work with Amoney. She loves it.

This is just one case study of how your programs are an excellent tool for us teachers.

Thanks for all your work.

Sincerely,

Jane H., Elementary school teacher from Los Angeles

Tom:

Thank you very much. Your Animated Beginning Typing program is absolutely wonderful for the younger, beginning typing students.

I have also given your web page info to parents who have come into school asking about what kind of program they could use at home as I feel your program is the best I have come across online. Hopefully they will see fit to purchase the product as we have here.

Compared to other software licenses, yours is an excellent buy.

Thanks again,

Hi.

I have a 4th grader who is required by his school to spend 15 min each night doing drill work of multiplication/division facts. I agree that this is really important, there is no way you can continue to do well in math without getting those basic facts down to memory. I downloaded your program and it is great! So much better than flashcards! Plus it frees me to be doing other things while he does this.

I appreciate the format where you do not offer multiple choices to choose the answer from - I had tried another program that worked this way and found he was simply clicking all the possible answers until one worked without making any effort to remember what it was!

I also appreciate how you can set the program to quiz you on a particular set of numbers. The other chose problems at random and there were so many easy ones (who can't remember their 5's or 10's?) that it was not giving him enough practice on the tough ones to remember.

You have obviously really thought this program through!

Thanks, Lisa H

Dear Mr. Guthery,

I am an occupational therapist who has just found your program (Animated Beginning Typing). It is a wonderful program for children with handwriting difficulties. Many of the children who have been failures on other typing tutors have felt successful and not nearly as anxious.

Thank you.

Dear Tom,

I teach at St. John's Lutheran School in West Bend, WI. I am also the 'computer person' on staff. Long ago we ordered a bunch of FLIX programs (as we affectionately call then) and ran them on our DOS system. Just last summer we (forced in to it by Y2K and such) updated to WIN95/98 and at least P166 machines.

Since then I have searched for software for all our grades. Since most of our teachers aren't very computer literate, many of the programs were too sophisticated for them. Typing in individual student names and keeping track of how to do what became frustrating for them (and unbearably frustrating for me).

We also recently became WWW active. Lo and behold, as I goofed around one evening, I found your web site and info. As you may know, we ordered several of you new versions (and are in the process of ordering the Phonics one too).

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

The programs install wonderfully!!! The programs run easily!!! The teachers have programs that the students like, and that I like because everyone is happy!!!

Thanks again,

Jim Hardt

Dear Mr. Guthery,

I also wanted to let you know that the way you made your program [Animated Math] with a black background provides an immediate focus on the exercises. Unlike other programs which might be cute and fun for the kids to play with while possibly learning, the kids most of the time play with the scenery rather than the lesson. For those children who need to learn the basic fundamentals your programs are perfect. Plus, my kids all love the games your provide after a lesson has been completed.

Hi Tom,

My students continue to enjoy your CDs. They want to come in before school, stay in my room during recess, and stay after school just to work on regrouping with your Animated Arithmetic program. These were very low, non-English-speaking students who exhibited no motivation for learning. Your programs have made a tremendous difference.

Dear Tom,

I teach brain injured adults. Some of the people I teach are stroke victims, some suffer from terrorist attacks, some from war, some from car accidents. I work primarily on the computer with these people.

Your programs are great for children, but the fact that they are great for brain injured adults is very special, believe me I know how difficult it is to find interesting programs to work with.

The coin program is wonderful. It's very difficult for stroke victims to go shopping, they are embarrassed by their problems with counting money, and needing help in general. I hope you present your programs for rehabilitation centers, they truly are excellent programs for brain injured adults, as well as children,

Using the States game is really fun, I find I don't know where lots of States are and neither do most of my students!!!! [Wendy is not in the U.S.].

Animated clock I know from before and love.

The reading program is well researched and great to use, I love how you have beginning sounds, middle sounds and end sounds, hard and soft vowels.

I really appreciate what you have done to create programs like that. Keep up the great work, may you be blessed with a long and productive life.

Thank you again!

Sincerely,

Wendy Ovadia

Thank you very much for the free replacement [customer had damaged their disk]. I want you to know that I am very happy with the software and now the service.

It is great to see my children take leaps and bounds learning. One of the most profound experiences I thought I'd pass along was teaching my children "time" with the early learning CD. My son had learned it in 10 min.! I find the software a fertile landscape to help teach, I enjoy it all. My son is subtracting and adding numbers in the ten thousands regrouping. I never did this. I thank you for your hard work and intuition in this software development.

Just to let you know. In a two week search for curriculum software I found many titles and companies. I have chosen Switched on Schoolhouse for my older child, but there is serious gap because they start at 3rd grade. So, as you see there is a wide market unfulfilled between preschool/elementary and third grade.

Unlike many [other] products I find your software focused, efficient and rewarding when it is appropriate (at the end).
